Hegemoni Globalisasi di Negeri Asean: Keruntuhan Ekonomi Rakyat dan Resistensi Sosial-Budaya

Abstract: Globalization, which has basically substituted the hegemonic role of Developmentalism, is by nature another form of imperialistic Capitalism. Back-grounded by Neo-Liberalism, globalization—with its major actors such as TNCs, WTO, IMF/World Bank—has penetrated into many (Third World) countries throughout the world, and then dramatically “conquered” the worldwide economy.

Spirit Multikulturalisme, Identitas Nasional, dan Kemandirian Bangsa

Abstract

Multiculturalism should be understood wisely to minimize chauvinistic ethnocentrism. We should always live the spirit of multiculturalism to establish some mutual understanding between interethnic groups in our cultural plurality. If such a mutual understanding is developed dynamically, it can eventually empower our national identity—the one which holds a principle “Diversity in unity, and unity in diversity.” With the strong national identity, we gradually position ourselves to initiate and establish independence, not only in economy, politics, culture, but also in many other aspects.
